i've been told that if I dont improve my attitude-I won't be going to another programme again

No big loss.

if my sister spnt more time with ME I would have enjoyed the day-

these programmes are good as a social day out

They normally are, In the past i have enjoyed the car journey down more then the actual event. It funny how it normally always the same people who attend these events as well. I wonder if they pick anything up from them, or just feel they need to go, like i did once.

"A true Muslim is thankful to Allah in prosperity, and resigned to His will in adversity."

i dont think that conferences are the place to gain knowldge-

smaller study circles are more effective

but it is good to get thousands of Muslims together-that does make u feel proud

and its good to make contacts-if u the sociable kind of person

and its fun if ur friends and FAMILY spent time with u

Oh... right

I forgot you have a littlest little sister - thus I thought you were referring to yourself in the third person.

lol... which in context of spending time with yourself could be perceived as "unstable"

Dave ur so funny..."yeh i was near the river with lilsis", she must be referin to herself in the third person

"MuslimSisLilSis" wrote:
how does spending time with urself make u unstable?

spending time with yourself as a seperate identity is actually kinda the problem.

Sorta like me going off and hanging out with Dave and Constantine for a bit...

But since I forgot you had a littlest little sister that you were reffering to that pretty well explains that.

...right then

So...

have a nice day

gee... thanks

wow i'm getting lazy

I blame school

Since I am always at my computer writing some idiotic report I don't do anything anymore.

Tried keeping my workout up but I started to let it die this week.

And the food at school is terrible - everything is fried with onions.

Ironically they don't have fried onion rings.

And the local stuff?! - not that spectacular.

There is nothing to do here!!!!!

just 2 more weeks ahahahhahah

pity more ppl didnt enjoy it

i went with my 2 sisters and mum. they have never been to any religious events before. and they enjoyed it more than me!

they cant wait for next one

i watched whole thing, and loved it. it was tiring but worth it

dnt think point is to learn something new, but to unite together.

where else do you get so many muslims apart from hajj and umrah?

i thought it was inspiring, first big event ive been to.

didnt know there was a revival stall. missed that, wd have come bugged you if i found out you were there

it was amazing how they got so many people together, and it was good to meet people, thats probaly the reason i went as well as help with the stall, and as well as lisnin 2 nasheeds (which never happened)

cant say i learnt much, didnt listen to a speech!!

but again a goood day

btw LilSis.......you do know dont you, you cant live life on the forums?

you have to break down the barrier which is makin you so unconfident

Hayder be nice.

She's a shy girl. I used to be like that too, but I grew out of it.

Not everyone is as confident as you are.

that article was just a typical example of western propaganda (take note Aassia)

Good comeback. So is it true about the extreme political emphasis?

Whatever you do, know that I will always love you. Or else.

"To all of these exhortations came cries of ‘Alllahu Akhbar’ from the enormous, simmering crowd of what looked to me like the angriest gathering of young men and women with whom I have ever had the misfortune to be seated in my lifetime"

^^^ that bit made me laugh

if u guys ever attend a religious talks-you'd know that whenever a speaker makes a "heavy/deep/profound" point someone in the crowd says "Takbir" and the audience says "Allahuakbar"

my sister hates it-she gets embarrased and says it makes her lose her trail of thought

Can I suggest a further addition to the title?

After a couple weeks of evaluating the new title I have determined it would have a far better "flow" if we changed it to "The BIGGESTEST Islamic event EVER!!!"

I believe the redundant -est is better in line with the "spirit" of the idea.

I also think that by breaking the so called "conventional" rules of English Grammar - a system of control which is being used to HOLD YOU DOWN

WE COULD STICK IT TO "THE MAN"!!!!!!

YYEAAAAAAAAAAA @!$##!!! "THE MAN"
