SAYYED

Has anybody else noted the huge increase in sheikhs/ulemas using the prefix of sayyed. I also note the use of "Shah" after their name also......

I hope i'm not being a cynic..............but the sudden increase in the use of these terms makes me suspicious of the intentions of these possibly "noble" poeple.........FAME SEEKING comes to mind !!!!

does it matter? i mean me father calls a lot of ppl Hajji saab just because they had the taufeeq to perform hajj (in some cases years ago!) but does that mean they are pious?? and other example: somebody's done PHd in some thing like forensic or wotever and me dad will call him dactar saab... lol ... but is he a real 'Doctor' that we all know (the medical doc)??

It should be up to them to keep their intentions pure! and from there its up to you to decide whether they are worth listening to or no?
