The Iranian women always used to get trodden on by me. Their abayah's were so long, they'd sweep the floor.
So Admin, dont be so quiet. A few words on your experience please.
How does it feel to be back? How did you feel when you first saw the Kabah and the blinging Mosque in Medinah? How did you find the food, people and weather?
I plan on it, but well... it was a 32 hour return journey and I am still more or less exhausted.

Winter is the Springtime of the Muslim. Because Allah (swt) has made the nights long for worship, and the days short for fasting!
12 of us. 36 bags. 24 (massively heavy) bottles of zam zam. 0 trolleys. 40 mins before our flight left. approximately 3 miles of 'queue' (non-british people do NOT know how to queue and so just push infront of each other as much as possible!)
SO.....
my friend went to the front of the line and 'demanded to see the manager'
we laughed at him.
BUT....
a VERY nice and polite gentleman came out and guided us to the front of the queue, gave us trolleys, provided us with a private bus to our aeroplane and apologised for any inconveniance or uncomfortableness we may have had.
SO.....
we made the flight JUST in time....
BECAUSE....
our passports were BRITISH
ALHAMDULILLAH (although i realise this was very unfair on everyone else who was still in the 'queue')

That explains his Guide to Umrah thread then.
So that's Ya'qub and Admin - I hope they've got tonnes to say about it when they get back.

i dont see how wishing someone a safe journey (which if we had known before hand would have said that to him) can be classed as making a fuss.

Did Yaqub and Admin go together or separately?
and would anyone recommend doing Umrah before Hajj or vice versa?
24 June 2005

They went separately.
And you're supposed to do Umrah before Hajj... however theres no strict rule about this. You could if you wanted do Hajj first.

I thought we had to do hajj first because that is what is fardh upon us?
I think if I had the opportunity and then a choice I would always want to do hajj first.

Me too.
coz what if I did Umrah and then died before I could do Hajj.
4 April 2006

i would do umrah first inshaa'Allah. that way u can prepare yourself for hajj and get to no the whereabouts of the holy sites etc.
24 June 2005

Ofcourse Hajj is fardh but theres no real rule that says you HAVE TO DO HAJJ BEFORE UMRAH.
Some people do Umrah first as a build up to Hajj. Some people believe if your going to go then you may aswell do Hajj.
Its down to personal preference really.
