Asalam Walikum Muslims and non Muslims
I couldn’t help but notice the atmosphere on this forum lately. I don’t know if its because ppl are getting bored of the holidays and therefore have nothing better to do or because Ramzan is round the corner so they are thinking lets cram in as many insults, snide digs and taking the mick out of someone as we can.
Whatever the reason it’s got to STOP! Most of the members that have joined this forum have been DRIVEN OFF as a result of our attitude towards them. The majority of members on this forum are Muslims so why in Gods name are we querying like little school girls amongst ourselves? What kind of message are we sending out to the non Muslims? Also nasty comments on other ppls faith have to stop. Just because someone doesn’t share the same faith as us Muslims doesn’t give us the right to judge them, that’s Gods job!
Then there is the issue of the lack of moderation on this forum, if there are any in place. When an arguments brew up nothing is done to stop it and eventually it escalates into a full blown argument with a group of ppl ganging up on one individual. This is classed as BULLYING! We all have feelings and we all get hurt, its called being a human.
If you don’t agree with someone’s views then just state “I don’t agree with the view put forward by this person” and state your reason why. There is no need to get personal (which most of us are doing, perhaps not intentionally but nevertheless still doing it).
So basically what i am trying say is that I think most of us owe someone an apology.
I will start us off
I know I have offended a lot of ppl with my views so I wont go into names because otherwise I will here all night and there’s a chance I might forget someone so……..
I am very sorry from the bottom of my heart to all the members of the revival forum if I have ever hurt your feelings. Sometimes I have taken it too far but have only realised after I have said it. I hope you can find it in your heart to forgive me, if not now then perhaps some day.

I'm sorry for being so amazingly cool, I realise that this sometimes makes the other people around me feel inadequate...
seriously though, I do have a tendency to disagree with people's views just for the sake of it, I play 'devil's advocate' both intentionally and unintentionally. i've honestly never INTENDED 2 b nasty once, but if I have offended anyone, I am truly sorry and I honestly meant no harm.
my friends used to call me a 'sniper' because I constantly picked up on small little issues with what they said to cause problems. this is NOT something to be proud of.
i think without Naz on this forum we'd all be at each others throats

Most of the time when there is "action" on this forum it ends up either resulting in ppl getting too personal, taking it too personally or certain assumptions being made about the ppl invoved in the heated debate.
I hold my hands up when i say that sometimes when i have disagreed with a view put forward by a brother i have been a bit hesitiate to reply back for fear that i will be accussed of behaving inappropriately. Not that i give a damn what ppl think about me (i know my intentions are clean and so does Allah (swt)) but its just to keep the peace.
Perhaps if ppl lightened up a little and stop reading too much into things there could possibly be a relaxed friendly atmosphere.

But on a serious note i think its everybody responsibility on this forum to interfer when they feel something is getting out of hand. Not only will this result in a pleasant atmosphere but will mean members will stay and post .

naz, you're making a mountain out of a molehill. this forum has been dead for like months, the last time it was heated was probably a year ago. to my knowledge no one is cussing each other down or personally attacking one another, well not severely anyway.
