No one can go anywhere without preparation, and no
one invites a guest without preparing to welcome
him/her. Similarly, to welcome Ramadan, the month
of fasting, one has to prepare. With Ramadan
less than few weeks away, just how does one prepare ?

* Shaykh Dr. Riyad Nadwi is a graduate of Dar al-Uloom, Nadwatul 'Ulama
in Lucknow, India, where he studied the traditional Islamic sciences
under one of the agreed upon greatest scholars of the 20th Century,
the late Shaykh Abul Hasan 'Ali Nadwi (rh) and other renowned scholars
of the Indian sub-continent for a period of twelve years. He also holds
a PhD in Cognitive Science and is currently a member of the Oxford
Cross Cultural Research Institute (OCCRi), A Muslim Think Tank. One may
recall reading his recent outstanding articles on "Hijab and Spin",
"Enough dissecting of Muslim hearts! Time to search for the real
roots!",
"It’s a Question of Love, Newsnight, not Fear!" and more.

WharfMA will also be launching a mentoring project
with the Tower Hamlets College. There will be a
presentation about the project after the talk
