London Guantánamo Campaign

A Long Way from Home: Benyam Mohammed and the British Residents in Guantanamo

Four years of torture, abuse and humiliation in Guantánamo – where will it end? For lack of a British passport, 8 foreign nationals with strong ties to the UK are being denied the right to return to their families and their lives in the UK. They are being denied their right to freedom and justice.

Speakers include:
Abdur-Raheem Green (from the London Central Mosque)
Yvonne Ridley (Journalist & Islam Channel presenter)
Clive Stafford-Smith (legal representative of the British residents in the US)
Ashfaq Ahmad (father of Babar Ahmad, a British citizen currently fighting extradition to the US under the 2003 Extradiction Act) and others.

This is a public meeting and everyone is welcome. The aim of the meeting is to get Benyam's local community to support him and call for his release. We also call on you to support Benyam, who is one of only 10 prisoners who have been charged and face trial.
