If you wanna talk about weddings take it to the weddings thread.

Back in BLACK

I went to a Charity dinner/auction today.

One funny thing that happened: There was a stall selling things like hijabs etc and one of the brothers made this announcement:

"Salam. The stall is now open so if you want to purchase something please speak to one of the sisters either wearing the blue hijab or wearing the black...err...hair."

I don't think he said it as a joke, but it was bare awkward!

2nd funny thing: One of the items up for auction was a teddy bear and the brother said

"Salam. The next item we have is this lovely teddy called...err, maybe we won't give it a name in case there are some Sudanese brothers or sisters in the audience."

I think he did say it as a joke, but it was still bare awkward!

The Lover is ever drunk with love;
He is free, he is mad,
He dances with ecstasy and delight.

Caught by our own thoughts,
We worry about every little thing,
But once we get drunk on that love,
Whatever will be, will be.

baby's are well cool.

I saw a toddler with her dad on the bus, and they were playing rock paper scissors and the kid had very loud an infectious laughter, so was drawing some attention.

The kid then stopped and look very puzzled and confused while looking at a girl who had weave in her hair. Then she (very loudly) asked her dad:

"Why does she have a wig?!"

*awkward silence

Some ppl dont deserve kids.

There was a Muslim woman on the bus today with two kids. She were proper nice as pie to both of them asking them how school was. Her stop come up and she pressed the bell and told her oldest kid to get in front so she could take out the pushchair (the kid in the pushchair looked about 5/6 :? ). When the bus stopped and she pushed the pushchair it got stuck and she struggled to get off the bus. Her kid had started to cry as well. She told him to shut it and when she finally got off the bus she barked at him saying "what you crying for" and i think he said coz she hurt him while she were trying to get the pushchair out of the bus. She barked at him again saying no she hadnt and to shut up crying  The whole bus was staring at her.

You dont know here, maybe she was having a bad day, maybe her husband beats her up, maybe she was poor or even homeless just because she did that doesnt make her a bad mother.

Those who danced were thought to be quite insane, by those who couldn't hear the music...

Good thing he was told to shut up. Boys shouldn't cry!

She still had no right to take it out on the kid though. Its called bullying. He hadnt even done anything.

I doubt she was homeless coz she had loads of shopping bags on her pushchair. If she suffering from domestic violence well thats between her and her hubby still no need to take it out on the kid.

If you cant handle the pressure of having kids then dont!

Boys should cry. Trust me that if they don't, a vital part of communiation is destroyed. If you said boys shouldn't throw tantrums, I'd agree. Or that boys shouldn't cry because they want attention, still I'd agree. But if they are in a state of pain that they cannot assuage, resolve or calm then I believe crying is justified.

Gentleness and kindness were never a part of anything except that it made it beautiful, and harshness was never a part of anything except that it made it ugly.

Through cheating, stealing, and lying, one may get required results but finally one becomes

That is far more understandable than some of his other posts. "the alles of men passing on is chaning" comes to mind for being utterly baffling.

and why would i have a grudge against you, do i know you? i think not.
