Hajji LilSis?

Daddy has this thing-he wants to take all his girls to Hajj

he said he wants to be the one who took us to Hajj

he said the boys in my family-my brother and his brothers have to go with their own money

anyways his taken his sister, he took my older sister the year before last

he wants to take me and his mum (my grandma) next year

I'm not so sure-

my sis was 19 when he took her-I'm gonna be 19 in Feb..so technically I'd be the same age as she was when she went

but aint it tru that in order to do hajj u HAVE to want it a lot?

I'm in two minds-whether I should go or not

i don't want to waste dads money by not appreciating it

what would u lot do?

Hajj is a must.

However it must be out of your own cash for the Fardh hajj. For women, that includes parents'/husband's/children's money.

You cannot take a loan or debt to do hajj...

oh man....i'd love to go, im dying . ur lucky you getting a chance to go i mean like im waiting for the day someone decides to take me lol..it would be my dream come true.

i dunno but they say if u've got a chance to go u shouldnt miss that chance, leaving it i mean u dont know what the future holds right, maybe once you there u'll want to do it willingly.

I know Hajj is a must-but whats the rush?

I never asked about money-obviousy daddy is gonna cough up

My Q is should I go with him or go later on in life when I will appreciate it more?

the rush is if you have the opportunity to go this year, you may never have an opportunity to go again.

But since you have had the opportunity, and you refused, the fardh has not been completed.

Fardh is one thing but deriving a lot frm hajj-benefiting from it is a another thing

daddy took me umrah when I was 11-I wish he didnt cos I was too immature to appreciate it

I don't want this to happen with my hajj either

I want to be them people who become a better person after hajj

You an always go again.... but as I said if you have the chance, jump at it.

Who knows whatbthe financial situation will be like in the future...

I bet you be working on that one for a while

Anyway, I would never say you shouldn't go, but just talking about my own experience i really wanted my mum and dad too go this year as well, but i realise i probably wanted them to go more then they did, which isn't right IMO so i kind of drop the subject.

I would only ever really want to do Hajj once, twice if I really had too. So i going to go when i am really ready, but going when you have youth on ur side is important but also when you have the wisdom to appreciate it as well so you need a balance the two, becasue you want the experience to help you throughout your life and it be a shame if you wasn't mature enough to appreciate it, as the first experience is always the best.

Of course, after i fulfil my duty, i would want to help other fulfil theirs. Hajj IMO at present can not cope with people coming back every year, it simple maths.

I dont believe that. I have been told that the haram is like the womb of the mother. It grows to accomodate the people who come to it. So yes logically only a set amount can come, but in reality the haram and the various stations are expanded by ALLAH. This aint a nutty thing, its a matter of imaan. Eg we are told wen the masjid is packed to make room for our brothers and ALLAH Himself will open up the space for us and accomodate the believers, and this is the sunnah of Nabi salallahu alayhi wa sallam and Sahabah, so personally I think if any1 wants to go each and every yr then let him, ALLAH will open up the haram.

Boss. She needs to go inorder to become a sensible woman.

At the moment she is a furbal.

Until a female hold at heart the House of God, she remains unworthy of any house.

And u r entitle to yours.

we also say in urdu that no1 can go until he gets the call. If ALLAH calls me to His House every year then Im not one to complain, or if ALLAH calls another to His House every yr I cant object to that. Thats the way I look at it.

Me and my mrs are gonna go to Haramayn Shareefayn at least once a year be it for umrah, ramadan, or hajj, inshaALLAH.

Thank you, to both of you, for granting each other the entitlement to have an opinion.

Can everyone else also have this right ?

bro have u been either for umrah or hajj?

Ya ALLAH Madad.
Haq Chaar Yaar

i have never been to either, can anyone describe what it is like from their own experiences?

my mamoo loved it, he wants to go again, and he has become a better and stronger person as a result of going

I have been and it was an out of this world experience, its one thing to see the Kaba and the Masjid-Nabvi on tele but being there in reality it just somethin else.

I loved Makkah but there was sumthin esle about Madina, duno how to describe it but it was just that much more homely (is that a word?). It was great being able to be so close to the Holy Prophet Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam (Peace and Blessings be upon him) and being able to visit his blessed resting place. I can say doin ummrah were the best days of my life and nothin, i mean nothing in this world can beat that experience.

When i went to ummrah i didnt know what to expect but i gained a lot in terms of havin that effection and love for the Holy Prophet (saw), it has increased my attachment with the Holy Prophet (saw). If i had a chance to go to hajj (i also dont feel ready) but i would only go out of greed to spend those moments with the Holy Prophet Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam (Peace and Blessings be upon him) again. I would however like to do hajj when i am slightly older but as few have said you never know how long your gona live till so best grab the chance while u can.

i cant help but feel jealous of u guyz who have been....this thread is getting me emotional.

i wish i could go and not EVER return...i wish my death takes place there an'all.

INSHALLAH.

yeh, dying in Madina wow that would be great!

I wish i can go next yr, inshallah i will be goin in july/august if my uncle makes plans to go.....

Ummrah is much better in the sense there arent as many ppl as there are in Hajj, so u get to view all the Holy places properly and esp. the tawaf of the kaba and vising the grave mubarak of the Holy Prophet Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam (Peace and Blessings be upon him)

inshallah u will go angel,

but whats better to do hajj first or umrah?

i've alwayz thought umrah BUT like ppl say best to do the fardh first.

INSHALLAH.

Dont we all.

Unfortunately our fate lyes where it lyes be it Makkah, Madina Or the UK.

I've never been on Hajj or on Ummrah but would certainly jump at the chance. My dad and my grandma went on Hajj last time... i was soo jealous... but i decided it was simply not my time... my mom refused to go without us so she also stayed behind. As soon as im able to i will inshallah take my mom on Hajj... which prob means im gonna hav to take my sis aswell... brother can pay for himself(im not made out of money).

Med, ive heard that saying a number of times too. When Allah(swt) calls us to his house we shall answer. Very true.

You should do the fard first but it just depends what Allah (swt) wills for you.

why are MEN so lucky....i mean they dont need no mehram to take them,

if i were a guy i'd save up and RUN..

but i got to wait for my husband or bro to take me , INSHALLAH if my dad stays healthy and able maybe with him,

BUT i wanna die after doing my fardh...

.

That is absolutely true.

Alhamdulillah I have been honoured with going to twice for Umrah and Ziyarat e Nabi salallahu alayhi wa sallam.

SubhanALLAH! The Ka'batullah is so beautiful, Makkah is such a powerful city. First time I saw Ka'batullah my heart trembled, I felt at once so ashamed that a dirty sinner like me was standing infront of Kabah but also was so grateful that ALLAH called me to His House. Oh, those memories are FLOODING back. Seeing the Minars of the Haram at maghrib time for first time was amazing, the redish blue sky, the scent, the warm air, the marble on the floor. And that adhaan. Oh that adhaan which we hear on tapes and on tv, its totally different when you there.
Im getting a bit upset here.

And Madinah Munawwarah. People I swear by the Lord of Ka'bah the air of Madinah, the dust of Madinah, the people of Madinah, the water of Madinah has its own mithaas, its own khushboo. Seeing that Green Dome makes me so ashamed. Again I cant believe that a filthy sinner like me had the courage to give salaam to Holy Propeht salallahu alayhi wa sallam, but I am grateful for it. The Riyadhul Jannah, the Jannatul Baqee, the Masjid Quba, the bazaars of Madinah, what can I say? I swear Madinah is the city.

Alhamdulillah first time I went my heart was stuck in Makkah Mukarramah, second time I went my heart was stuck in Madinah Munawwarah; I wonder where it will be on my third time.

In urdu they say Lahore Lahore hai. That Lahore is only Lahore, but I say Madinah Madinah hai.

I wanna go back and inshaALLAH if ALLAH opens up a way I will move to Madinah inshaALLAH.

But people let us also remember Baytul Maqdis.

lol, I'll be equal to ALL my wives. Either take em all together, along with my brood of kids, or take one, then come back, take number 2, then back, then number 3 etc u get my drift.

But its entirely possible to take all ones wives on one journey.
