I've always been in the Android (v iOS) camp.

I haven't generally liked the Samsung phones, mostly because touchwiz somehow makes things feel cramped.

HTC have also created the better looking phones and HTC Sense is very useable.

However this time around, the Samsung Galaxy S6 is intriguing.

Except for the edge version - that is too gimmicky.

I am surprised there are no votes for the HTC.

Currently using the oneplus one running Android kitkat cyanogenmod.

I think phones have now evolved to a point where the specs are no longer the make or break part of the deal for consumers.

All phones released in the last few years have enough on board memory to run smoothly and on the most part boast great camera specs. Consumers I think are now looking more at design quality and how user friendly the operating system (OS) is.

ios (software iPhones use) I'd say around 5 years ago was at the top of its game and probably the most sought after OS for consumers. Simply because it looked nice and was easy to use.

However as time dragged on, I personally became tired of the locked OS whereby there was no room for customisation for the average consumer. I say average because there was the option to jailbreak devices but that within itself was too time consuming, and now looking back I fail to see why I was so Impressed with ios and jailbreaking.

So around 6 months ago I ditched my iPhone 4 for a oneplus one which I must add was extremely attractive in terms of pricing. Why did I make the move? My iPhone was battered with a cracked screen, so laggy that when I needed to send a text it became a complete chore. I guess the only thing I miss about the iPhone is tomtom app which i have to say seems better on ios than android. But hey that wasn't enough stop me leaving the iPhone gang.

Thoughts on Android: LOVE IT! all the features I needed to add to iPhones by tinkering with the software and extensions are now pretty much readily available on android Devices out the box. And if not, then the playstore pretty much has it all. Even if that's not enough, then rooting a device and installing a completely custom os isn't too difficult either.

However it's probably wise to remember I'm a bit of a geek when it comes to technology....so those who love the straight forward iPhone ios will be ok with sticking to an iPhone I guess if it caters for their simplistic needs.

Build quality of the oneplus one: great all round but it is 5.5 inches so a bit of a chore when it comes to typing... I have small hands so always need to use both. The camera is obviously better than the iPhone 4 I had, but still not too great when it comes to taking lowlight pics.

Battery life... Just amazing... I mean i could never have imagined using my iPhone for more than 24 hours without recharing... The oneplus one does exactly that.

In terms of design it's definitely something niche and miles ahead of those old plasticy Samsung devices.

But, and here's the thing, the new S6 should be the most sought after device of 2015 because of its design... And I say 'should' rather than 'will be'... Because they'll still be those loyal apple fan boys and girls out there.

Anyway back to the S6...design quality seems to be on point...Looks as if they' ve taken a leaf out of apples design book... Nothing wrong with that seeing as Apple seems to have done the same with LG and it's Prada devices. But the S6, beautiful design, great specs, not too big and not too small... And comes with Android Lollipop... Pretty much all you need.

Technology rant over!!... And no... I am not being paid by Samsung lol.

Why don't you rate the HTC?

I saw the S6 in person yesterday. I expected it to look more impressive, but its not that different from the S5

The HTC One IMO looks better.
