Too fast. Too slow. What's in between?

As a student, quite often, I seem to struggle through many days when ropes, so resistant, tie me to books and pieces of paper. Trying to balance my individual life, my home life, my social life, and two big chunks of my studying life is near to impossible. Though on the rank of priorities, some dance around sky high whilst others sail along the bottom.

Whilst ideas are whizzing around, lists are circulating my mind, the heavy weight of fulfilling expectations, doing chores and trying to keep as many people as happy as possible occupies me, I wish that everything would just slow down, slow down to a pace that was manageable for me. Then, it does slow down.

But it slows down to a speed so slow, I could run alongside it in heels without tripping over or twisting my ankles. It slows down to such an extent that I almost wish it's speed hastens to what it was previously. Now I'm stuck in between the hussle 'n' bussle of a busy life and the boredom that lurks around time that passes slowly. Thinking about which I prefer is a decision in itself.

adecision that you have to add to your endless list of decisions.

can't you spread out the work so that in times of boredom you can do the things that were sailing at the bottom of your list of priorities during times of buzz?i know thats not always possible but its something to work on.

also, pursue interests and hobbies in time of quietness, explore new horizons. knitting, baking, revision, unplugthetv.com, stumbleupon.com, air crash investigations, bbc documentaries, channel 4 documentaries, catching up on latest environmental news or middle eastern news or just boring british news, focusing on the siblings, helping with the 7timetables (that darn 7 timetable...)

there's always plenty to do, the problem is that it doenst occur to one when one has the time for it. annoying thing really. post-it now with a big arrow pointing "READ ME WHEN YOU HAVE PERIODS OF QUIETNESS"

edit: my point, theres no inbetween, there'sjust slowing down the fast and speeding up the slow. imo

Is it true? Is it kind? Is it necessary?

Thanks. I will try a few of them out this Summer. Smile

I stumbled across something yesterday.

Not to do with life as a student, but life in general.

"Some days,

I feel everything at once.

Other days,

I feel nothing at all.

I don't know what's worse:

Drowning beneath the waves

Or dying from thirst".
