Taurine is definitely not bull sperm, as far as i know it can be found in animals, it's essntially an amino acid and nothing else. The question though, is whether the drink 'Boost' gets taurine from animals or is it made synthetically. From my past research i found out most energy drinks use the synthetic taurine and not the one derived from animals. You're gonna have to check out the companies website to find out.

Most likely it is halal but just double check to be sure.

Okay went to their website and checked FAQ

This is what i found;

Is Boost Halal-approved?

Our manufacturing plant is not a Halal-approved premises. However, we guarantee that all the ingredients in our products are free from meat and their derivatives.

Does Boost contain alcohol?

By UK legal definition, none of our products contain alcohol. However, some of the flavours we use contain ethanol as a carrier for the non water-soluble traces.

The following products contain ethanol within the flavour solvent, which could contain minor traces of alcohol:

Boost Sport Orange
Boost Sport Mixed Berry

boost taste weird and aint good for you. just have the right raw coffee and a packet of sweets :twisted: or just by caffeine tablets and pop those.

boost taste weird...i bet it taste like bull sperm.

Is it true? Is it kind? Is it necessary?

Boost energy is suitable for vegetarians and the taurine is synthetically produced,but it may contain small traces of alcohol although by UK definition it contains no alcohol.Conclusion:I think it is haram because it contains minor traces of alcohol,so sorry!
