That was wrong.

The husband should have known that she was infertile before marrying her. Some men don't actually wanna have children so she could have suited them.

Her mother is playing with peoples lives.

On telly they were talking about honeymoons and how they're unislamic. Then someone asked what about if 2 families who have their son and daughter engaged go to a holiday together, is that wrong too? Which made me and my family discuss whether its allowed for a woman to get to know the guy by talking to him WHILST her mahram is with her. Mum said no.

The guys who said honeymoon is unislamic - shoot them.

A married couple ARE allowed to travel together.

If any "scholar" pretends otherwise, he is not following Islam but his culture. Either that or he is ignorant - in which case he should hold his silence.

whether its allowed for a woman to get to know the guy by talking to him WHILST her mahram is with her.

(copy pasted)

well..the whole talking to each other and asking questions and stuff (with the mahraam here), that could be considered "getting to know". But im not sure what you mean?

Is it true? Is it kind? Is it necessary?

If there is a mahram present, there are no problems with it.

(what happened to the quote button?)

yeah exactly, that's what we were saying!

and stop shooting people lol. i think he meant its not an Islamic tradition, rather than it not being allowed in Islam

I doubt that is what he meant. He meant exactly what he said. I have read such opinions online before, so I know they exist.

(the quote button currently only appears in the forums.)
