France's players refused to train on Sunday following an on-pitch row between captain Patrice Evra and fitness coach Robert Duverne.

The public training session was about to begin when coach Raymond Domenech had to separate Evra and Duverne.

Following the incident, the squad left the pitch and walked towards the bus.

The French Football Federation's managing director subsequently quit, leaving France in crisis a day after striker Nicolas Anelka's was sent home.

Many Muslims are living a safe and balanced life and you want to enlist them in a dogmatic war.

hey, I think that was a hint.

My theories: We're not good on paper, these well-paid egotistical footballers in England and France are looking inferior and failing to cooperate, and the managers are not handling it well. Additionally we would have had a stabler side if the Terry affair had been dealt with differently, keeping Bridge happy but pushing for rapprochement. Instead it's like Capello makes decisions with no sensitivity to the psychological impact. Plus this is a disorienting tournament with the new ball and the altitude, which is very evidently responsible for cancelling out many hard-earned skills such as goalkeeping with your shoulder. Anything could happen but I predict the team that wins lives in a mountainous place. Smile

NB The European entrepreneur who made a fortune from pretend vuvuzellas, changing the spirit of football for a long time to come, officially sucks. Loud plastic horns are not tribal artefacts and not a very nice way of showing support.

Nope - they are hardly safe, unable to answer basic questions like what they would do if the kufr society around them turned against them (See Bosnia!) or the govt legislated against them...

Balanced? If you regard secularising Islam, chasing wealth and grabbing whatever you can as balanced, they are very balanced!

@anon1 - since this topic is JUST about football, this is a statement - unrelated posts WILL be deleted. There are plenty of topics where you can discuss stuff. .

Same goes to everyone else - please do not feed the troll in this topic.

7-0!!
it was 1-0 at half time! i recorded the second half on my sky+ and started watching neighbours instead. then i went back and just watched the goals but it would've been a great match to watch all the way through (i just cba)

I see todays match as a win win situation:

1. England go through. Grreat!
2. England don't go through. Great (just think of the headlines!)

YES YES YES YES!! i need to watch this on iplayer!!! SEVEN-ZERO =O!!! and i thought germany/australia was bad.. Blum 3

even though i dont like portugal...

im ashamed of france...i cant wait to go there and diss the cousins! ohh England please go through so that i may boast to my full ability!

South korea is doing pretty good AND SO IS JAPAN!!!

Germany is pretty awesome too.

Is it true? Is it kind? Is it necessary?

I remember hearing (either in 2006 or in 2002) that generally in world cups held in Europe, european teams win it. For world cups held outside europe, non-european teams win it.

As long as there are awesome games with big numbers of goals

Is it true? Is it kind? Is it necessary?

not generally:

2006 in germany - italy won
2002 in japan/korea - brazil won
1998 france - france
1994 USA - brazil
1990 italy - germany
1986 mexico - argentina
1982 spain - italy
1978 argentina - argentina
1974 germany - germany
1970 mexico - brazil
1966 england - england
1962 chile - brazil

but...

1958 in sweden - brazil won!

so England fans have some hope, because of what happened 52 years ago...

National anthems being played at the beginning of each match, national flags, national teams, national colours... modern idols - complete with half-drunk crowds chanting their mantras, high emotions...

Compare that with what Allah ordained - bonds of religion, recitation of Quranic ayat, ummah wahida, the flags of shahada, and pure Muslims ready to die for the sake of Allah...

Haqq vs batil - the lines always clear to those who choose to see them...

This forum is for non-Muslims aswell as practicing and non-practicing Muslims.

There's no 'I' in team, but there is a 'tea'. Stick the kettle on and put your feet up for 15 minutes.

(I still want Algeria to go through - they can if they win and the england match is not a draw.)

they need to win by 2 goals (unless england score again... so it seems I'm supporting england now..)

But there is an 'I' in 'meatpie'

'Meat' is an anagram 'team' so.......

...I don't know where I'm going with this.

Algeria are out and the USA are through.

and portugal are violent, i remember 4 years ago...

1998 france - france

Arent WE awesome?!! that was beautiful! you should have seen it! the eiffel tower!! Les champs Elysee, the shouts outside in the local pizzeria (because there we watch football matches in pizzeria not pub) and then my sis born a few weeks later. 1998 FTW

(ive contradicting myself about a million time up there ^^)

Christiano Ronaldo...just his NAME sounds greasy... *shiver*

Talking about National Anthem, i LOVE watching the players not knowing the lyrics and just trying to move their lips, ROFL or just looking at the "diversity" of players for different team. Quite entertaining i must say.

'Meat' is an anagram 'team' so.......

So you should have meat on the day your team plays Biggrin

Much more like it!

And this epic Wimbledon... lovely day...
