@Awlia - the Prophet Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam (Peace and Blessings be upon him) did not do it every night, as as for it being an innovation or not, I would leave that decision to hadhrat Umar (ra) himself, who did think it was one.

whether he did it every night or not, theirs nothing wrong with doing it every night is it, muhammad SAW didnt always perform the zuhr nafal, but if a person was to do so theirs nothing wrong with that is it.

you're the one that is arguing elsewhere that going and doing things not exactly like the Prophet Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam (Peace and Blessings be upon him) did, or doing it more is a bid'ah, not me.

The type of innovation that is haram is innovation in religion, which sufis do, like milad un nabi, the huwa huwa thing and other.

in your huwa thing you quoted that there was no harm in it, thus it obviously cannot be haraam, proven by YOUR OWN POST.

As for mawlid, Shaykh ibn taymiyyah said there is no harm in it, so it also cannot be haraam, if he did not think there was any harm/sin in it.

(@ everyone-including-me: please can we debate in other topics and not this one? this one is just for welcoming people)

when did i say their is no harm in doing huwa huwa, i said their is no harm in doing normal dhikr like saying subhanallah 33 times, but huwa huw is haram as its a innovation,a action not done by muhammad SAW or his sahabas or nayone.

as fr miladun nabi, even he ibn tamiyah concluded in hisbook saying its a incorrect ijtihad ad he doesnt agree with it.

- it is quoting from your post. You have ignored responding to that post - which I assume is by accident?

ive done my thing as usual, given the correct evidence, and had tocorrect your false fabrication as usual

you have? where? I can't see anything...

ibn taymiyyah may have said it was incorrect ijtihad, but he did not say it was wrong and bad or haraam, did he? He said there was no benefit, and no harm.

incorrect itjihaad, meaning it was wrong, disagreed with milad un nabi, meaning he rejected it, believed it was wrong.

And if ibn tamiyyah didnt say things directly about it, thousands of other shcoalrs of HIS time, before him after him clearly said it was haram, muhammad SAW hadith clearly shows its haram, which is the biggest evidence of them all.

Please carry this on , as I am interested in reading these ahadith.

this is awlia, back again, this time im not sure how long i'll be here, but while im here i'll destroy that shia here, time tp expose that fake thing that ali RA personally called dumb blind and deaf.

Welcome back.

No need to "destroy" him (or anyone else) - just honest discussion should be enough to prove your point. That way you also use hikmah.

Hi im new

He is free, he is mad,
He dances with ecstasy and delight.

Caught by our own thoughts,
We worry about every little thing,
But once we get drunk on that love,
Whatever will be, will be.

Welcome aboard.

No its not - people move on. Sometimes ghosts are just shadows.

Just a suggestion
maybe there should be a tab (like a section) where people can read a mini bio of each other, because half way through this it became a discussion which isn't so great in a 'hello new members' post =S

You can read other people's bio - if they've chosen to write one. I was gna edit mine the other day when i was bored but then i thought forget it lol.

If you click on the username it should come up on their "profile page" where they may have written a little bit about themselves

a good example :

victory is in the eye of the beholder (I didn't think you had any points that stood up to scrutiny - and I did not even go out of my way to challenge them, just simple things).

This time I hope you are here to take part as a member of the community and not simply here on a crusade - the latter is not conducive to sight seeing or seeing what people really think.

if we get the third party in to judge we know who theyll pick i had both evidence and conclusion but lets forget that, as i said just here to check how things are going on here not for another arguement if i was then i wouldve attacked the shia not that i will i'll get this fact straight.

[actually, I had both evidence and conclusion on my side (which was evidenced by the fact you started to attack the very people who were trying to help or back you up).]

But as you say, bygones be bygones.

Salaam, new member here! (that's what this thread is here for right...lol...i totally feel like im intruding/interrupting something! )

So. Yeah. Intro-ing me. I'm a 22year old student from Wales, currently in my final year of uni doing Religious Studies and Philosophy, due to be done and dusted in less than a month..eek!

I've only ever read one issue of the revival magazine, which I think had a drugs article and related picture shown on the cover, and my sister called it 'stoned magazine' for the longest time (lol). I think I was looking up Muslim youth magazines for research one time, and that's how I came accross the site a while back, I read a thread about eastenders and syed and whatnot, and never came back. Ok,erm, it's not how it sounds. I just didnt bother to come back, but intended to, forgot about it for a while...and finally returned to join :D.

So research, what research?! Basically I'm doing my dissertation on British Asian Muslims, and how dual cultural heritages contribute to one's identity and practice of Islam, and cultural conflicts between generations, generally about being British and Asian and Muslim...etc. So I figured I could roam the forums, find any discussions (if there are already threads on the topic, pointers are more than welcome :)), start some discussions...and stuff.
As it stands, I like to waste my time on forums and reading things online rather than actually doing my work (procrastinator extrordinaire, unfortunately :()

Yeh, so, uh. sorry for rambling. That's how I roll.

Make yourself at home - write blogs, take part in forum topic or comment on articles among other things.

And more importantly, who would win in a fight - a Jaffa cake or a jammy dodger?
