It's easy top be nice when the response can be immediate and potentially involved getting hit on the face.

Really... is that the excuse you use?
Personally I think being nice achieves better results. But i can be nice and evil at the same time? Its a talent.

seraph knew not to mess with me, especially not to mess with my baloon! those kids thought they could steal it!

Those who danced were thought to be quite insane, by those who couldn't hear the music...

@Eram be glad you aint overtly religious. Those kind of people tend to have double standards!

then they arent religious if they have double standards, plus the prophet (saw)said: “Those who go to extremes are doomed, those who go to extremes are doomed, those who go to extremes are doomed.”
Narrated by Muslim, 2670
so i agree with you with the overly muslim thing as long as you meant extremely religious

@naz: what makes a person overly religious?

overtly.

Nothing wrong with that - I think it is encouraged and is pretty important to be seen as Muslim.

On the other hand, being preachy can be annoying to others.

DELETED.

Why is it important to you how others practice Islam, and bringing up their shortcomings?

be grateful that they do what they do and then pray to Allah (swt) in a non accusatory manner that we all can be more practising.

Being judgemental just puts others off.

I know that I tend to avoid "religious" people.
