Muslims in Jail

o.k People,
i was listening to a programme on yesterday, and it was an interview with two prison chaplains. they were talking about the increase in young muslims in prison and the causes of that. but all the time they had a sympathetic attitude to the actual prisoners and were blaming all the rest of society.
Now i was kinda confused, coz aint it that every human has freewill, so they can choose right and wrong, so if you choose wrong you face the consequences, right? :doubt:
so i sed that to my brother and he sed thats a pathetic attitude, its coz every 1 has attitudes like that , that we av all these ppl in prison, now i'm even more confused, coz my point still stands. :?

So you tell me wots ur view on muslims in prison? r they to blame or not?

Depends what they are in for. Take for example that guy that killed his bigot neighbour he dont deserve to be in prison. If its someone thats been selling dope to little kids or a kiddie fiddler or rapist then they should bring back the death penalty!

I say bring back the death penalty. It will resolve the issue of overcrowded prisons and hopefully reduce the crime rate.

I can't believe Naz is preaching tolerance when it comes to murder - no matter how despicable the victim.

Heat-of-the-moment-manslaughter may occasionally have excuses (hence manslaughter), but not murder.

Simple thing about carrying weapons - don't carry one unless you intend to use it. If you intend to use it, can't ask for lenience in that case.

If i remember correctly that dude got done for manslaughter. If they have a good enough reason for killing someone then i dont see anything wrong with it and in his case he did. I dont tolerate all murderers. Take for example that Ian brady and Mara Hindley they had no reason to kill those kids. Those kind of murderers dont deserve a medal.

i dont think they should bring back the death penalty, because if someone is wrongly convicted he would be killed for a crime he didnt commit and if he just had a life sentence he would have a chance of being freed. Also, it would be more effective and long term for a prisoner to be kept in the prison rather than having a quick death.

Suppose thats one of the downsides to it. I think they got rid of it originally in this country because they did wrongly execute someone who wasnt guilty of the crime they were convicted of.

Derek Bentely and Ryan James. Guildford and Bridgewater 4, Birmingham 6 and the Cardiff 5 would all be dead and innocent.
But think about this if someone is going to commit more serial rapes or serial killings when they're released, then what?

Chin up, mate! Life's too short.

Don't release them

And to Naz. If you kill someone, you are taking away their chance to repent to find Islam and repent to Allah (swt).

I know that it is Allah's (swt) plan as to when they die, and you couldn't ever execute someone without Allah's will, but still, wouldn't it be on your hands that they never got a chance to repent?

Don't just do something! Stand there.

So leave them in prison for over 50 years? After a while that's gonna create and has created a prison crisis.

Chin up, mate! Life's too short.

should just be placed in a prison with no rules.. upto the inmates to find a way to survive..like the one called 'sona' in prison break lol. prison's like that actually exist!

A bigiot would never repent and embrace Islam. If anything your doing them a favour by killing them coz that way they wont be committing anymore sin.

Do you know the story of Umar's (ra) conversion to Islam? He was one of the biggest enemies of the Muslims and was actually on his way to kill the Prophet (saw), when Allah (swt) guided him. Never say never. People do change.

There is a hadith that says something like there will be people who live their whole life as someone of Paradise, and will get to with a few steps of the gates of Paradise, and then will be dragged back to hell (because of a single act they commit), whereas there will be some people who live their whole lives like someone of the Hellfire, until they are a few steps from the pit of Hell, and then they will be raised up to Paradise (because of a single act they commit).

You need to realise that Allah's (swt) Mercy is nothing like the mercy of a human being. It stretches far beyond our imaginations. There was a man who killed 100 people who was forgiven by Allah (swt), just because he was on his way to somewhere to try and change his life.

Don't just do something! Stand there.

hind (ra) mutilated the face of hamzah (ra) the uncle of the prophet Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam (Peace and Blessings be upon him) after he had been martyred, later on she became a muslim. Allah (swt) guides whom he wills.

A bigot is a person who is intolerant of opinions, lifestyles, or identities differing from his or her own, and bigotry is the corresponding state of mind. Bigot is often used as a pejorative term against a person who is obstinately devoted to prejudices even when these views are challenged or proven to be false or not universally applicable or acceptable

Yeah i know. Allah(swt) has 99 parts and mankind only have 1.
