Man United won last season and have a few major new signings, but at the beginning of the season they are already playing catch-up and injuries threaten to derail the campaign. Is this the end of the road?

Chelsea have begun well but will they keep it up in the face of new challengers to the Big Three?

Arsenal haven't been quite the threat they once were... can this be the season they reclaim the title?

Liverpool, historically a great team and well established in Europe once again - do they have what it takes?

And what about Manchester City, now managed by Sven Goran Eriksson under the ownership of a billionaire former Thai Prime Minister and alleged swindler? Assuming the Thai military doesn't successfully freeze the team's assets, are they on their way to the top spot or will the new players take some bedding in?

A: Manchester United will win again.

Arsenal stink lol
Man united all the way.
Man city are getting quite good, they could be a potential threat.

So far Ya'qub's prediction is holding true. Arsenal visit Anfield at the end of October and host Manchester United a week later. I wouldn't expect much to bother them in the meantime so temporarily I'll have to be happy with the number 2 spot and Chelsea's managerial issues.

That was a great match today. Chelsea were unlucky - the sending off was very harsh, the lengthy stoppage time was most kind to United, and although the 2nd half penalty was well-deserved it would have been nice to win without such instrumental refereeing. Having said that, the ref was pretty weird with United as well, we dominated throughout and the win was deserved. Great football anyway, Tevez finally scored a goal and with a little more accuracy in front of goal (perhaps the other new signings are about to have their moment) we can certainly win a few trophies.

In my view Chelsea are out of the running this season, leaving United, Arsenal and Liverpool in fierce contention for all the silverware.

i know it happened in the Champions League and not the Premiership but I don't care I just like gloating to all you northern, funny-voiced silly-people:

now all we have to do is beat liverpool and man u and then we may as well be crowned champions in december!

jus wait till the new year.. after arsenal have had a couple of inuries and suspensions...oh and not forgetting to mention the african nations cup in january when half of your squad will dissapear... you wont be ontop much longer..

i dont think wengers squad is strong enough to mount a serious title challenge.

arsenal are a very good side at the moment with youngsters coming though such as fabregas they havent hit any jinuries and i dont think they will. It is up to them not to crumble to pressure there main threats seem to be Man united with liverpool in the run in Man city are looking good but then again anything can happen in football

1 - The best team in the world - Manchester United Dirol
2 - Arsenal (only just losing out to united - like the good old days...a 2 horse title race and United winning it with 1 match to go or on the last day!)
3 - Chelsea....some way behind the top two - not the same without Maureen
4 - Man City - probably not, but way liverpool are playing....ive had to change my mind about 4th spot!

oh and i wouldnt get too carried away with arsenals good form....derby, , slavia prague...etc.....easy matches ...i would have scored 6 myself!

easy champions league group too - except from sevilla, but they arent luking as gud as last season

arsenal are looking gud and better without Henry now

but United are looking much better.........and you just know we can go a 20 match unbeaten run in 2nd half of season again

we got the experience in the title run-ins

Maureen left chelsea......the league jus got a lil easier for us now. he was the difference, coz tinkerman had the same money to spend, and their current manager, BBC as hes known, avram is poo

I expect the big teams to draw and nothing to change, but it's a massive weekend and anything could happen. Arsenal are the most likely to come out of this smelling of roses.

Yes but Liverpool has surely turned a corner. I wouldn't bet on Chelsea at Emirates Stadium either, despite Arsenal's last two Premiership games. Obviously the best result would be a win for United and a win or draw for Chelsea.
