Feeling qualified.

I do not like to apply for jobs unless I feel reasonably qualified. I also try to be brutally honest to myself.

Now that is a recipe for disaster if I ever saw one. Especially since I want to move out of sales - my bread and butter role of the last few years. Most of my employment life.

I Just applied for a position of Junior Web Developer. I have been making websites, maintaining and updating them for years, but I really had to think before I decided that I am qualified to apply for such a role.

Screw that.

Just apply, experience counts for ALOT! I usualy prefer to go with my gut feeling.. which is usually my first impulse and as a result I do alot of things that many people wouldn't (Id rather not name them).

Just apply, see what happens. You loose nothing by applying and you've got EVERYTHING to gain.

Well atleast you tried. If you didnt try then perhaps you would have always wondered what would have happened. Now you know.

Maybe next time make more of an effort to sell yourself.

PS They expect everyone to exaggerate a little on their application forms.
