I have a dream (so please pray it comes true!)

This is going to be a little short for a handful of reasons.

1) My sister (I seem to always mention at least one of them don’t I? Hmm), anyway uhkti is waiting downstairs for me to sit with her while we um basically surround ourselves with each others company. We feed off each other's presence - ooh sounds Carnivorous.

2) I feel like I need to do something important and need time to think about what it is.

3) I want to pray Isha early-ish.

4) I’m a little ZzZed out from work.

Anywayyy!

I have a plan – a dream actually. I have a dream (Martin Luther King – “Raaaa Respect”). And like all, well a lot of dreams, I hope it works out, InshaAllah. No it isn't a soppy kind of dream with the knight in shining armour stuff. It's a ambition, a goal in life, a chance to progress, a opportunity, a chance (oops i said that!), an opening, to fly, to soar, to grow, to exceed, to - ok i think you've got the point.

Have you wanted something so bad that it made you want to cry? OR have you noticed that sometimes when you want something so bad, you don’t get it – sigh well the latter is what I’m worried about (the first one might happen but I’m welcoming it – be brave young one. Be brave). So far everything (relating to the dream) is going according to plan (ok not exactly, it did sort of speed itself up a little, but regardless it’s on track.)

I know that disappointment and stuff is probably a test from Allah (swt) and most times I cover my distress by telling myself over and over that it’s a test (‘you gotta realise it’s a test’ – Native Deen) butttt it’s hard right? No matter how much you tell yourself all of these positive things like ‘it’s making room for something better’ or ‘good things come to those who wait’ or ‘maybe this wasn’t the best thing’ there’re (that word looks funky) times when you can’t help but keep wishing it hadn’t gone that way (wwhhyyy diddd thisss happpeennn?! Sob Sob Sob – or rather, in a more traditional way: ‘Woe is me!’) Grin.

So yeh I’m trying to be positive and I’m going to keep working towards the dream and hopefully – if you lot make Du’a (ahem start praying NOW, NOW, NOW – MOVEE IT!) it’ll happen. I’m gonna get the jack together.. An’ live off the fatta the lan’ (you see my ellipses there? That is what a good essay has: Ellipses. No waffling quotes. Use ellipses.) Well not exactly – the ‘fatta the lan’’ thing but I definitely have to get the jack together to make the dream happen.
And if and when it does I’ll be blogging about it right here. W a t c h this Space.

(But seriously please make Du’a that Truth’s_Razors and co’s dream works out, I’ll seriously be a happy bunny if it does InshaAllah x 100000000 – um yeh whatever that number is)

Oh and since this is a fast one, let's provide some food for thought.

'We grow great by dreams. All big men are dreamers. They see things in the soft haze of a spring day or in the red fire of a long winter's evening. Some of us let these great dreams die, but others nourish and protect them; nurse them through bad days till they bring them to the sunshine and light which comes always to those who sincerely hope that their dreams will come true.' - Ol' Woody Wilsy (Woodrow Wilson)

Love is a serious mental disease.

My msn name was once 'Insane Dreama' - (oh yes was i 'with it', you see the 'a' instead of the 'er', yeh I DID THAT.) I actually didn't really have any insane dreams but it sounded pretty cool at the time.. not so sure anymore..

Thank you - (if interesting dooesn't mean boring! Interesting as in weird? Ah weird, i can handle!)

Jihad of the Nafs (The Struggle of the Soul)

nowt to worry, "dreama" can handle ANYTHING

>.>

pilot..yeah...my stomach still does flip everytime i see a plane in the sky.
well..i'm not sure, but i think i wanted to fly something like that

actually, i have a picture of two of them "taking to the skies" actually doing the standing vertically thing :O

BUT...these planes arent just for fighting right?
So..i thought i'd be an airline pilot, but then, cant really have a social life, you've got to basically, be rich to become a pilot etc... etc... a small sacrifice, inshallah i'll get to fly awesome planes in Jannah. Pardon (yeah..i do live on "in jannah inshallah" :P)

And anyway, found myself some new dreams. Loads and loads!

Is it true? Is it kind? Is it necessary?

Wowwwwiieee! That would be pretty cool though! A Hijaabi Pilot (i've never come across any - has anyone?)
