The Circle of Life

I shouldn’t really be writing this, I should be doing something a little productive (although this could be seen as productive as I’m pretty much just writing everything down so I can find an answer – writing helps, I think I’ve said that before)

This time, I racking my brain thinking of what to do with myself – lifewise. I want to do something great but somehow don’t have all the resources for them – so I’m probably going to settle and work with what I have – distracting my focus from the things I don’t have. Oh and here, this isn’t me not being grateful for the things I own or have, I’m talking about opportunities.

People say as one door closes another opens. I hope so. I’m counting on it. The best thing to do is have patience as we’re told time and time again – not necessarily a bad thing, just sometimes you wish you could fast forward a little.

Fast forwarding myself a little (heyy! – for thattt sigh of relief I’m not going to fast forward anymore)

Reeeewinding.

Imagine you’re waiting for something big to happen but when it does, it’s not all that it’s cut up to be OR WORSE you don’t want it anymore [speaking of which, humans are naturally ungrateful I think] or perhaps you value it more because it’s taken so long to get there.

Whichever, it’s a gamble.

So what is the next chapter of life? [don’t say marriage – We talk about it way too much!]

Perhaps it’s the sun that’s got me feeling a little ‘step back and look at yourself’ (I always find the sun to = countless opportunities – not sure why) but whatever it is, it’s time to do something. Follow your dreams and all that.

PAUSEEE.

What dreams? Aren’t dreams just things that you would do, if life was wayyy easier than it is?

Well, I like to think it’s the things that keep us going, the happiness and hopes for the future (no particular hope though, just finding hope in the fact that there is something more to us than today).

It may be because of this that I love to meet and get to know new people - ambitious people usually – they have different ideas, different backgrounds, just different you know?

They have issues that you haven’t experienced. They are different to the people you’ve grown up with; they have their own dreams and stories of losing and winning at things. Life stories that we can learn from.

So it’s good to stay around these people, people that will give you the nudge to DO something. [‘Do something amazing, give blood’ lol]

And perhaps if you’re lucky they’ll give you a ride in their dreams so you can branch off and do something for yourself one day.

The Lion King – Simba’s Pride:

Timon: Remember our motto: "When the going gets tough, the tough get going!"

Pumbaa: Wait a minute, I thought our motto was "Hakuna Matata".

Timon: Pumbaa, stop living in the past. We need a new motto!

GRINNN – Ah both can work right?

Great, hope all your dreams are fulfilled...

If I ever have to kill for something, it would be for, "A woman"
If I ever have to kill something it would have to be, "A woman"

it feels good letting things come out of your head doesn't it.

Love the relation to Lion KIng. #Hakuna Matata# now it's stuck in my head

it's good to sometimes ponder on what you are doing in life just don't over think it. that's what i do and then realize i just need to let my thoughts out. i always learn something new about myself at the end of it though. Biggrin

@ Jack - me too InshaAllah (once I'm sure of what they are)

@ Foysol - I absolutely love The Lion King! One of the best Disney cartoons out there hands down.
Where would you draw the line of over thinking?

Jihad of the Nafs (The Struggle of the Soul)

Yeah The lion King is my favourite Disney film Biggrin

What i mean by overthinking really is thinking about things you don't have any control over. Like thinking what if this or what if that...

Don't know if it makes sense to you but it's just personal experiences

This time, I racking my brain thinking of what to do with myself

"How many people find fault in what they're reading and the fault is in their own understanding" Al Mutanabbi

there's a hadith or something about not saying "what if" coz thats like not accepting Allah's will AND opening door to shaytaan to come into your lil life and mess it up by making you unhappy. it happened. deal with it. get the best deal OUT OF it by being gratul and looking for the positive in it. [mentions the quranic ayah about us loving what may not be good for us and hating what may be good for us]

im stuck. so stuck. i need a new angle, a new perspective. i need...to revise...for somehting i dont really want to do..

i need an intention. guys help here! i want to mkae the most out of boring a-level. how do i mkae my intention or revising/studying/sitting the exam so i get lots of good deeds out of it?! (you know, the same way if you make the right intention, sleeping and eating can be source of reward) i cant think of a way of making a-level a source of reward!!!!!!!! ARGHHHHHHHH

its not like im gona become a doctor..so i cant say "im studying to become a doctor to save lives"...I DONT KNOW WHAT I WANNA DO!

actually i do: memorize the Quran, speak and understand arabic fluently.

not gona go down too well with the career advisor eh?

Is it true? Is it kind? Is it necessary?

Education is compulsory for the believer...

And maybe you should think about a proper career? or a job you may like to do.

Admin linked to this the other day.

Oh and I just read this quote and thought I'd stick it here. Smile
?"Success means doing the best we can with what we have. Success is the doing, not the getting -- in the trying, not the triumph, Success is a personal standard -- reaching for the highest that is in us -- becoming all that we can be. If we do our best, we are a success. Success is the maximum utilization of the ability that you have." Zig Ziglar
