Really? theres no Joseph in Islam?

In fact, Islam reveres both Jesus and his mother, Mary (Joseph appears nowhere in the Islamic narrative of Christ's birth).

Is this true?

Perhaps there is a character who existed, who the Christians call Joseph, but as Muslims, we believe that Mary gave birth to Jesus without the involvement of a male figure. So, it was purely a miracle sent from God and Jesus doesn't have a biological father. Christians also believe the mother of Jesus, to be Virgin Mary-  and it makes you wonder why the four gospels mention very less about Joseph.

I thought you were referring to Prophet Yusuf (as) o.O

Joseph in Arabic is Yusuf, but here we're talking about Jesus, Mary and another Joseph lol.

LOL I got that once I opened the thread

"How many people find fault in what they're reading and the fault is in their own understanding" Al Mutanabbi

yep, no carpenter...

Is it true? Is it kind? Is it necessary?

I thought the existence of Joseph in christianity was so that they could trace the lineage  of Jesus back to "King David" because that's where the "Messiah" is supposed to come from....?......though how they manage to gloss over the fact that Jesus was not the biological son therefore tracing his lineage back cannot actually be done.....!!!....

Christianity "prefers" to trace the lineage through the males and as Jospeh was a descendant of the Prophet Solomon and the adopted father of Jesus they claim thats how it fits. What they dont mention however is that Mary was also a descendant of the Prophet Solomon. Therefore the lineage of Prophets still exists.
