calling yourself something

should you call yourself something, even if the true meaning of that something has been lost. and if people didnt know the real meaning and just looked around to get a definition of that something they would get the wrong definition?

should you call yourself something if by calling yourself that you will be attached to certain people who dont actually agree with?

i would be an annoying little brat if i decided not to call myself anything.

i like that too...but it isnt helping. Its to be able to live the present (and the future) that i need to know the answers to those questions.

i could just ignore people and do my own thing, but people dont like that...so i'm trying to find a compromise.

i feel like im deceiving people by not calling myself. SO before people get offended i'd rather say it. yeah...people get offended really easily.

really People sometimes gives me headache
Bad bad People.

Is it true? Is it kind? Is it necessary?

Names are just names. WHile they be necessary, it is the actions and the contents that are important.

Whatever you want or think is right.

You cannot live your life based on how others will react or percieve things.

no, not your name, how do i put it...like...calling yourself punk, or goth, or emo, or whatever else...

joining a certain label. i know my example isnt that great because its not like you NEED to call yourself punk/goth/emo.

actually forget the whole thing. It's alright now/ Smile sorry for bothering you.

I understand what you mean.
I have some friends who can talk the talk, but not walk the walk. It's like they are labelled as something on the outside; they're pleased that people have gave them this label. But, on the inside, it's just a girl trying hard to make others' aware of her existence....

I didn't mean your name! I meant a nickname (e.g lilly)

why?
I have no problem with people trying to be nice and caring towards others or whatever. But if some is putting you in a difficult position and you feel you must be the way they want you to be then thats just unfair and wrong :/

It is unfair and wrong. But, some people feel they have something to prove to other people. What it is, is beyond me, but some people just roll like that/

Take 'his' family in Pakistan, for example.
They had the impression we were snobs; maybe we were. I don't know. But, they tried to prove to us, that they weren't less. Also, if they said to my parents "jump", my parents would reply "how high?", they'd bend backwards for them.

You do this, because you care.

As long as its a two way thing. At the end of the day, if the other people are worth caring for, you wouldn't expect them to put you in an awkward position and if they do, they should appreciate it and if you object they shouldn't be so bothered. Ofcourse people aren't so understanding. But i really don't think you should always bend over backwards for people ALL THE TIME especially if they wouldn't do it for you.

Uh, Believe me! They are not worth it!

If it was up to me, I wouldn't look at them twice...my parents are the culprits....
