Confirmation: Trees and plants CAN grow inside of me

When I was a young-ish person, I was always warned that if i ever dared to eat the black seed within an apple, that one day I would have an apple tree growing inside my insides. The same applied to swallowing the cream seed that you find in an orange.

I believed that for quite some time, maybe even for a few years, until i realised that regardless of how many seeds i deliberately ate to test this theory or accidently ate, it was never ever going to grow inside me, because the conditions inside my body were different to the conditions outside my body.

Within, I don't have sunshine but can sunshine penetrate that far in? Oh I don't know. I don't think it can anyway. But there is definitely no soil inside me because I haven't attempted to chuck some down my throat, so there is no way on this planet that a plant can grow inside me.

All confirmed in my head and totally happy with myself that some strange happenings wouldn't occur to me. Though one day, I did have a little spot on my hand and a girl whose two years older than me decided to tell me that her sister had a spot exactly the same as mine and that it grew into a massive plant.

Being the small madrassah kid and not-the-kinda-child-who-thinks-for-herself I believed every single word she was saying and was horrified that a big plant was going to grow on my hand and that i would have to chop it off my hand the more it grew and grew.

So obviously she decided to pop the spot and that was it, no more plants and trees growing on me or inside of me. It's a shame that such a small spot caused my mind to go crazy. Now for the remainder of my life on this plant filled planet i will always be remembered of that incident because in that same place where this innocent spot once stood, i have a mini hole. It's tiny, but it's inwards. So yeah, no more of that. No way am i going to fall into these traps and words of other people who supposedly lied to me.

But then. But then. Wait for it.. I discovered that there is a Massachusetts man who was rushed to hospital with a collapsed lung. Then i found out that he had a very unusual diagnosis and you want to know what that diagnosis is? It's that a pea plant was growing in his lung. YES, it was growing IN his lung. They reckon that the pea at some point, went down the wrong away and apparently it grew to about an inch in size. His wife joked about saying that God must have a sense of humour.

Now tell me what my confused and childlike mind should believe now? It's true isn't it? An apple tree can actually grow inside of me. An orange tree can also grow inside of me. All these fruits and vegetables can grow inside of me and one day i may have an entire garden inside of me. Our bodies are so cool, so cool I think it will take me time to try to comprehend how they work!

Good morning to those of you who read this. I hope you have a great day! Actually it's afternoon. Good afternoon people who are surrounded by trees and plants and other green organisms containing chlorophyll.

you have...totally lost it today... totally and utterly...

that aside, im quite surprised you havent looked into the science of how and why this pea grew in this guy and if such a situation can be extrapolated to the rest of the human race (bad sciencing Hummus, bad sciencing)

i cnt believe you werent told watermelon seeds would grow.

its such a stupid things to be told. what do parents what us to do? spit the things out? the watermelon seeds? teh grape seeds? urgh. no, they want us to swallow these..AFTER we've been fed those stupid stories.

i swallow all seeds that i dont take out, no plants growing anywhere. just fine.

your grown up, mature, scientific mind will get into gear and research all this and come to a mature, scientific conclusion based on FACTS and not tainted with emotions. thats what you're going to do young one.

Is it true? Is it kind? Is it necessary?

Awwww

Well that's an odd story, got a link for it?

Also apparently apple seeds are poisonous.

"How many people find fault in what they're reading and the fault is in their own understanding" Al Mutanabbi

I think she is referring to this news article:

"For too long, we have been a passively tolerant society, saying to our citizens 'as long as you obey the law, we will leave you alone'" - David Cameron, UK Prime Minister. 13 May 2015.

@LtS: I know. I was feeling very alive and energetic that morning lol. I'm a very happy bunny inside and I like to take all this jolly-ness out. Ah, i will have to do some more sciencing. That reminds me, I want to make a collection in the form of a doc with all these cool sciency and medical related stories and events. I should start soon. (Good reminder!)

A while back, I gave my little bro a slice of watermelon and he wanted me to take out EVERY seed, all the black ones and those creamish sort too, and i thought, WHAT? You want me to sit there taking all that out?! Your watermelon won't even be a watermelon anymore!! It's going to be floppy and have too many holes in there. I told him you're ALLOWED to eat them, I can't remember what he said back to me, but i didn't convince him. All i know is that he didn't feel like having watermelons anymore.

But i will NOT DRILL into his mind what was drilled into mine. Actually maybe i should. I think it's a fun idea and he can learn how it's not true on his own, just like i have. Actually it IS true as i discovered - what am i saying?! It's true. That's my conclusion. Hummus it IS true!

@Titanium: Why a tree? It's all so complex but not as complex as YOU, so why would you love for such a thing? I think i'd like to be somewhere in water actually. I could travel the world like that and see things that i would not have seen had i stayed in human state lol.

Aaaaaand, yes, @You has found the video to the article i had read.
