Geert Wilders: Europe's most dangerous man????

He was once refused entry to Britain. He has called for the Qur'an to be banned and has proposed a tax on wearing headscarves. And he is also the first politician ever to stand trial on charges of 'incitement to hatred'. Geert Wilders, instantly recognisable for his quiff of platinum blond hair, is one of Holland's most controversial and well-known politicians and, some argue, Europe's most dangerous man.

Bafta-winning filmmakers Mags Gavan and Joost van der Valk follow Wilders on his campaign trail during the recent Dutch elections, meet members of the international anti-Islamic network who support him, and find out about a conspiracy theory promoting the belief that Europe is being taken over by Islam.

With anti-Islamic, anti-immigration parties on the rise all over the European continent, why has Wilders, on the brink of real power in the Netherlands, become the poster boy for the far right?

The title sounds like such a joke to me but then again I'm not all that politically literate - does he really have that much power?

I don't understand why these people make such a big deal. They make out that we're telling them what to do, how to live but we're not. They bang on about shariah law when it wouldn't even affect them.

Some of the things shown and said on that programme were extremely disgusting especially that 'submission' film.

Did I hear wrong or did Wilders at one point admit he had a problem with Islam and its fascist ideology and then at another point say 'I don't have a problem with Islam itself'?

I don't see why the man gets 24hr security after spewing such hatred.

i have a thought that in a couple of years all anti-islamic and western countries will come against islam
our bloody governemt at the moment isnt for islam, america hates islam, israel, holland, etc.
all religions are about peace and especially islam, but islams has the most unjustful and unpeaceful against it
well its a thought but at the end of the day whether or not im right doesnt matter
we all need to be united with religion not our countries aor colour as we do now with arabs not liking anyone else or pakistanis not like bengalis and bengalis not liking whoever
its too long for that we got enough hatred from non believers, why add more?
i swear one of the signs of judgement day is when muslims brothers and sisters will have war and fights with eachother? correct me of im wrong
well it seems like its all coming soon to me

Although it can be hard to get rid of some views that you have been taught :/ Even when I
see them challenged, there can be times where I just can't help but think of a group of people in a certain way.

I don't mean to and try to ignore it but just saying if something is said to you enough times it may be hard to get rid of the thought. (or maybe thats just me)
