Khair Mubarak Biggrin

Have fun and keept it halal (no overdosing on sweets) Wink

I only have one plan. Wake up EAT! (something sweet before i leave for salat), come back from Eid Salat and hug my mum and granny (they usually only get two in a year) then EAT! some samosa, get changed into my new garms (clothes) Biggrin wait for family to come round then EAT! the feast my dad has prepared (always amazing). Oh and then i'm gonna link friends, which takes forever and we're gonna go out to EAT! Come home late then EAT! go sleep Biggrin

Ahhh i'm hungry.

Don't forget your salat peeps.

Funny movies sounds like fun. Can't think of any new ones, what about watching old classics? Like White Chicks, Due Date, Dinner for Schmucks, any film with Will Ferrell in it? Oh you gotta watch Despicable Me (Pixar)

Plus there's gonna Fireworks everywhere all weekend = free entertainment Acute

Anyway have fun and remember Eid is from 10th to 13th Dhul Hijjah. How can you not be happy about Eid Biggrin unless you're a sheep or cow.....mmmmmmm meat Smile

For Eid ul Adha it is sunnah to wait til after Eid prayer to eat.

It is? I thought it was sunnah to eat something sweet before you go to the masjid? I'll have to find out now.

it is for eid ul fitr.

The idea being to remember and show that you are not fasting and that the days of fasting are over.

It is different for eid ul adha, which is not preceded by a month of obligatory fasts.

I don't think its pixar, but its really good. steve carell does the voice.

its the best of all the kids films i watched with my class over the summer in turkey, apart from toy story 1... which i watched for only the second time (the other was when it was in the cinemas!!)

Don't just do something! Stand there.

i was meaning classics with the films. dnt think theres any good ones out tht are new. will ferrel rlly? no good dude, no good.

"Verily, in the remembrance of Allah, do hearts find rest"

Not food deprived....just been fasting, so it feels more like Eid to me now. They only get two hugs cause too much of anything is bad for you, plus no hugs equals no samosas Blum 3

Oh and my dad's a retired chef, he was the best in the business. Nowadays he only cooks on special occasions, kinda like my hugs they're rare but special Biggrin

exactly. Eid is meant to be a day of rest and enjoyment!

I like the sound of Foysol's eid :/

I'm thinking of taking a day off on monday, just for the sake of it. Well eid is 3 days!

Get up early, go for fajr salaat, then go to dads place, meet everyone there go for eid salaat, slaughter the sheep and skin them, messy yeah, I don't enjoy snapping the necks and legs but it has to be done. I hope nobody pierces the intestines when slitting em open, otherwise we gonna have a dead sheep poooping really bad.

When we done there, it's off to the farm to kill the bull. This always gets the crowd excited especially if he's a fighter, then if anyone needs help slaughter their sheep for them. By then it's already dark and I'll be looking like Sylvester Stallone in Rambo all covered in blood.

I won't be getting a day off on monday Sad

"Verily, in the remembrance of Allah, do hearts find rest"

Samosas are easy to make but if you can't just get some from the shop? Of course they won't be as yummy as home made...then again if you're the one attempting to make them...
